Impact of a Novel Hydrogel with Injectable Platelet-Rich Fibrin in Diabetic Wound Healing

چکیده
Diabetic wounds are serious complications caused by diabetes mellitus (DM), which further exacerbated angiogenesis disorders and prolonged inflammation. Injectable platelet-rich fibrin (i-PRF) is rich in growth factors (GFs) has been used for the repair regeneration of diabetic wounds; however, direct application i-PRF certain disadvantages, including instability bioactive molecules. Sericin hydrogel, fabricated silkworm-derived sericin, a biocompatible material that anti-inflammatory healing-promoting properties. Therefore, this study, we developed novel hydrogel (named sericin/i-PRF hydrogel) using simple one-step activation method. The vitro studies showed rapid injectability allows it to adapt irregular shape wounds. Additionally, sericin could prolong release i-PRF-derived GFs hydrogel. Furthermore, effectively repaired wounds, promoted angiogenesis, reduced inflammation levels nude mice. These results demonstrate promising agent wound healing.

Platelet-Rich Fibrin Promotes an Accelerated Healing of Achilles Tendon When Compared to Platelet-Rich Plasma in Rat
BACKGROUND Autologous platelet concentrate has been used to improve the function and regeneration of injured tissues. Tendinopathies are common in clinical practice, although long-term treatment is required. On the basis of lead time, we compared the effect of using platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) in repairing rat Achilles tendon. METHODS The effectiveness of usi...

platelets are a natural source of growth factors and cytokines that promote wound healing, and platelet-rich fibrin contains concentrated growth factors. growth factors in platelet-rich fibrin may promote wound repair. in this study the effect of platelet-rich fibrin was evaluated in a dog model of cutaneous incisional wounds using histology and semi-quantitative evaluation. a pair of ten-centi...
متن کاملHydrogel and Platelet-Rich Plasma Combined Treatment to Accelerate Wound Healing in a Nude Mouse Model
BACKGROUND Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) contains high concentrations of growth factors involved in wound healing. Hydrogel is a 3-dimensional, hydrophilic, high-molecular, reticular substance generally used as a dressing formulation to accelerate wound healing, and also used as a bio-applicable scaffold or vehicle. This study aimed to investigate the effects of PRP and hydrogel on wound healing, ...
